Each ALL TOPO MAPS state collection is fully searchable by place name, map name, location and Township/Range and in some states Section. ALL TOPO MAPS will convert Lat/Lon and UTM coordinates to annotated map locations. The ALL TOPO MAPS: GPS Tool makes uploading and downloading waypoints, routes and trackpoints to your Garmin/Lowrance/Eagle/Magellan GPS easy. Real Time Tracking displays your current position on the map showing on your laptop, as you drive.
Lightning fast, full-featured viewing software allows instant map selection using the built in place name database, zooming to any scale, instant coordinate display, straight line, traced distance measurements and printing at any scale both in color and black & white.
Entire maps or viewed portions of maps may be copied to the clipboard as bitmaps (and manipulated) or directly printed. Maps may be directly exported to .TIF and .TFW worldfile formats for use with CAD and GIS applications or display over Google Earth.
BigTopo automatically seams quadrangles (collars/boarders removed) to build huge map images. These images can be used in ALL TOPO MAPS or exported as generic pictures to other applications and GIS/CAD tools.

A very powerful feature of the All Topo Maps for users in Wyoming is the ability to overlay Coal Bed Methane wells on the topo sheet. You can log onto the Wyoming Oil & Gas Conservation Commission (WOGCC) )site and download a file (that is updated daily), then open the file over the topo sheet and all of the well locations appears.

The links below show several different PDF printings of the same ranch. One with a more "wash" shading pattern over different ranch parts, and one with more of a line fill pattern over the parts, both with a general topo map background. The third has the line fill pattern but with "hill shading". (Zoom in at 200% on the hill just west of the big reservoir in the 1,526.81 Acre pasture for the best evidence of the "hill shading". Overall this is quite level country and so "hill shading" has less effect". The 4th & 5th maps are a dramatic example with the without "hill shading" on the area of the Grand Teton Peak, in Teton National Park of Wyoming. For the "hill shaded" map, the sun was placed in the NW sky at a low angle, so you will see shadows on the east and south sides of the peaks and ridges. Compare this map to the non-shaded one and see the dynamic difference.
These are large 15 meg PDF files so they do take some time to load. Just be patient. I recommend that you zoom in to at least 150% - 200% to see the quality of the underlying digital topo maps. Having been printed to a PDF file, the quality and clarity, etc., has been greatly reduced. ALL of these maps look much better when printed directly of the All Topo Maps software to your color printer or plotter.
